Zuibaichi: A Garden that Speaks
Hi all,
You'll find a new program on the Ink & Insights channel, "Zuibaichi: A Garden that Speaks." The first video is available now, and the rest will be posted this week on Monday and Tuesday. Please watch for those drops. Located in Songjiang, Zuibaichi was originally built in the Song Dynasty, but after a period of disrepair, it was rebuilt by the renowned painter, poet, and calligrapher Dong Qichang in the Ming Dynasty. It is an excellent example of the quintessential features of Jiangnan gardens, with a special Dong Qichang twist. Shot on location, this video series explores the garden itself, with an eye toward how its design philosophy applies to our lives and work today. I hope you enjoy it, and I'm looking forward to our live session at 8pm this Friday. In the meantime, feel free to drop your comments, questions, and observations here in this thread. I'm looking forward to hearing your insights!
