I just wanted to let you know that The Culture Collection is now available to all Word & World subscribers. This will be where you will find all non-video resources in the future.
The collection was launched today with a very powerful piece, an ebook entitled I Am Shanghainese, based on an excerpt of an interview with Betty Barr. The video of that excerpt was also released on the channel today.
In this ebook, you'll find reflections that begin with Betty's interview, but also go beyond it, touching on translation, language, place, and what it means to belong.
